DESALINATION
Desalination is increasingly essential for securing reliable freshwater supplies from seawater and brackish sources, yet its cost and environmental footprint hinge on effective pre-treatment, membrane protection and discharge management. Suspended solids, organics and marine microorganisms must be removed or inactivated before reverse osmosis (RO) to prevent fouling, scaling and biofilm formation—while brine concentrates require careful handling to mitigate ecological impact.
